New Climbers

All Climbers must watch the orientation video before climbing and sign the waiver

Gym Rules

All visitors must adhere to our rules that are posted throughout the facility.

  • No topping out

  • No running on pads

  • Give climbers a clear landing zone

  • No wearing climbing shoes to the bathroom or outside the gym

  • Visitors must wear climbing shoes when climbing

  • Please keep muddy shoes/boots off the mats

  • No food or drinks on the mats

  • No climbing if under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol

  • Shoes and shirts must be worn in the facility at all times

  • Visitors must enter and exit through the front door (not the garage door)

Rules for Youth

  • Climbers under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian

    NOTE: If the guardian does not climb, entrance is free of charge

  • Visitors must be 16 years old to use the weight lifting equipment unless under the direct supervision of a staff member

  • One adult may not bring more than 3 children under 14 years of age at a time.

Route Selection

Our rating system starts at V0. The higher the number, the more challenging the grade. Feel free to try routes of varying difficulty, as long as you remain safe! Each route is differentiated by the color of the hold. Try to climb up using only holds of that color.

Starting the climb

Start holds are marked by tape. If there is one piece of tape, the proper start is to put two hands on it with your feet off the floor (on another hold, on the wall, etc.).

Other Climbing Start Postion

If there are two pieces of tape, the proper start is to put one hand on each hold that has the piece of tape, with your feet off the floor.

Ending the Climb

The end of the route is also marked with one piece of tape. End the route by putting two hands on that hold in a controlled manner. This typically means having two hands there for 3 seconds, rather than jumping up and briefly touching it.

 

Getting Down

We strongly urge climbers to climb down and not jump down. When down-climbing, you can use any colored hold that allows for an easier descent. We have down-climb holds to assist with climbing down, please use them!
