Cayuga Climbs' INFERNAL HIBERNAL Winter Bouldering league is a 6-week team competition! The Open Division is structured for our community's toughest competitors; whichever team sends the most difficult problems the most consistently will win! For a competition that is suitable for climbers of all skill levels, register for our Community Division.
League climbers will compete on the newest set each week of the competition, and they will have exclusive access to the newest set during the 90 minute league sessions.
For non-members, your League Registration acts as a multi-pass pack that grants you climbing access during the scheduled meeting times of the competition.
We welcome registrations of individual climbers, climbers in pairs, and fully-formed teams of three. If you are registering solo or duo, you will be teamed up with other participants at random to complete your team of three. If you are registering with friends, you can sign up together by purchasing multiple tickets or you can shoot an email to ryan@cayugaclimbs.com once everyone has registered to let us know that you will be competing together.
Participant must have an annual, monthly, or 30-day membership on the first day of league for the member price.
The optional limited edition league t-shirt is available only to league participants!
Community Division Scoring
Scoring is adjusted by skill level and a team of 3 beginners have just as much of a chance of winning as a team of 3 experts (or any team composition). At registration, you will select a grade level that you find challenging but would expect to complete in one session. Points are then awarded based how each person performed relative to their skill level. If the person is consistently outperforming their stated skill level, we will adjust that persons skill level and reassign points.
See scoring table below. Please read the table horizontally - for example, if a V3 climber climbs a V4, they get 55 points. If they climb a V6, they get 60 points.
